Narang Bir-rong translates to “Little Stars.” 

Narang Bir-rong formally known as LUFS (Link-Up Family Services) was established in 2008 to meet the needs of Aboriginal children and young people in Out-of-Home Care from 0-18 years, servicing Aboriginal Kin Carers and Foster Families in Metro Western Sydney and Nepean Blue Mountains.

Narang Bir-rong translates to “Little Stars” and is an Aboriginal Out-of-Home Care Program.

Narang Bir-rong recruits, trains and supports Aboriginal out of home carers, and case manages children and young people in out of home care. Narang Bir-rong places Aboriginal children and young people in care situations that support their individual identity and self-esteem and that meet their social, emotional and behavioural needs.

Narang Bir-rong carers receive on going training, carer support groups, allocated professional case managers with 24 hour support and guidance, fortnightly tax free allowance and carers are exempt from Centrelink job search programs. Carers also may be entitled to family assistance from Centrelink* (*means tested).
