Welcome to Fostering NSW – a great place to find out more about foster care and adoption in New South Wales, Australia.

With more than 17,800 children and young people unable to live at home we always need more carers.

Foster carers play a vital role in giving these children safe and caring homes, helping to change their lives for the better. Foster carers come from all walks of life and there’s no such thing as the ‘perfect’ carer! What you do need is patience, energy and a sense of humour – which can all go a long way towards helping a foster child.
